Hello, my stylish friends! Fan of the intense smoky eye though I seldom take the time to layer on makeup for remote courses. Nowadays, I barely put on eyeshadow unless for professional calls or weekend events. Looking back on this smoky eye makes me want to wake up earlier to start a beauty routine again!
Rose golds flatter olive skin tones for their neutral undertones. Before understanding this, I found that some shadows looked ashy or muddy on me. Applied carefully, rose golds don’t wash out my skin.On top of a copper base, I apply a light shimmer shade on the middle of the eyes to then proceed working outwards, where I use a matte brown plus a touch of black on top. The brow bone provides a nice bone structure for me to either add highlight or, in this case, a rose gold for a subtle transition. For those with almond-shaped eyes, liquid shimmer enhances the inner corners that may otherwise seem smaller due to the heavy shadows.
After blending away, how do you top everything off? With a sharp wing, of course! Soft shadows contrasted against an intense cat eye stand out from afar.
