In the future, I hope that I can travel to Korea for my career but doubt that I can recreate experiences as valuable as the ones I had at the Jodo Islands.

At the market I visited, several small pop-up stores were lined up next to each other and, like most public places in korea, the market felt clean and well maintained. Vendors were welcoming and not pushy, and many caved into my peers’ bargaining.

At the college, everyone stayed in dorms and took traditional music classes. Our dorms had an overlooking view of the Yellow Sea and the surrounding mountains on the Island.
I took for granted its freshness and health benefits. Unfortunately, there isn’t a Korean restaurant on my campus, so I jump on every opportunity to eat Korean food when I’m on break!
