Petite Pointers: Polished, Put-Together, and Printed
March 17, 2020
Hello, my stylish friends! I love bubbly prints as much as the girl next to me. Nothing I want more than to whip out my Pinterest mood boards. Print queens Kate Spade and Tory Burch have my heart for spring 2020 (correction: Kate Spade and Tory Burch are my go-to inspiration at any time, any year!).
Sadly, prints present challenges for my petite figure. I wish I had sky-high model legs, but I work around what I have at 4’11”.
The previous photo is from a summer 2019 blog post. For the longest time, I backed away from prints, since nothing seemed to look flattering. I recently realized that they key for petite figures is to play with silhouettes.
If wearing noisy prints, I make sure to keep silhouettes SIMPLE and loose. I usually aim to highlight either the body or print – not both. Limited focal points make it easier on the eyes.
