Long Time No Blog Post: A Fashion-Filled Winter and Life Updates

Long time no blog post! I missed updating my online baby while running around New York City, evident by my Instagram posts. From December to February, I went in and out of the Big Apple for the Fashion Scholarship Fund 2020 Annual Awards Gala, Natural Retail Federation Foundation 2020 Student Program, and UofNYFW AW 2020. Before I knew it, I found myself back at the University of Delaware for the spring semester of sophomore year. Phew!

Exhausting, yes. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. Though I find comfort in the traditional campus aesthetic to my school, I find myself craving the city adrenaline. For someone who struggles to relax, funny enough, I never felt more at peace than I did while navigating NYC’s hustle and bustle.

With that being said, I did enjoy sorority recruitment as a sister rather than participating as a PNM which, by the way, was the worst (but worth it) as a freshman. For those who do not know, Potential New Members visit every chapter at the Panhellenic Council at the University of Delaware until you are left with two chapters for Preference Round. Yes, there is a lot of jumping and clapping involved. On the bright side, it gives you another cardio routine! For this year’s bid day, I dressed up to match the honey theme to welcome home the dubbed “queen bees” of MC 20.

Despite the fun and games, I still miss NYC. Terribly. However, I tell myself to slow down and not rush the remainder of my college years. I struggle with living in the present, but I am thankful to have an irreplaceable inner circle that keeps me sane and makes college so special.

I can’t wait to go into further details about my fashion-filled winter – stay tuned!

With style,

Sarah
