Jewelry Collection (Continued): Necklaces

Sequel to my jewelry addiction post

When sporting a tassel bib necklace or pearl ensemble, I feel as if I’m wearing a piece of art on my body! Tassels and chains look bulky but do not bother me throughout the day, so I often wear costume jewelry to class or casual outings. An easy-going combination is pairing a statement necklace with a sheer blouse or chunky sweater. Simple, effortless, and classic – perfect for all-year long.

I’ve collected jewelry over the years. My go-to pieces are ones I purchased from Charming Charlie while I was in high school. Charming Charlie became my favorite accessory chain once I realized that its quality was better than that of Forever 21 or H&M for a similar price range. Merchandise of fast-fashion brands are neither engineered nor priced for luxury to or to last a long time, but I said goodbye to having my jewelry break the second I walked out of a store!

Similar to my ring collection, most of my necklaces are in gold or rose gold!

I have difficulty scaling down my jewelry choice for the day; too often, I become carried away with layering and matching other statement accessories with my large necklaces! I have to stop myself after I put on a chunky necklace. This should be the focal point of your outfit, as you don’t want other accessories clashing with or distracting from these show-stopping accessories.

In addition to layering over simple tops, I like to wear necklaces over casual dresses for brunch or to transform a lackluster day look.

If I had to choose one , I would have to pick my tassel necklace from Nordstrom Rack. Inspired by Parisian women, I’ve been trying to copy their fashion by incorporating more tassels and black into my outfits.

With style,

Sarah
