Fashion and Function: Favorite Blazer

May 3, 2020

Hello, my stylish friends! I love seeing everyone’s Work From Home fashion. I love Suitably’s Get Up, Get Dressed movement on Instagram. I’m always one to be overdressed. I love the feeling of sliding on a crisp blazer, and in hopes of returning to New York City, I’m already sifting through my business casual and summer apparel. As the curve starts to flatten, I can’t help but become more and more excited for life to (semi) resume.

When I dress for events requiring “business casual”, I whip out my favorite ruby red blazer. Yes, I am aware that I would stick out like a sore thumb if I were not in the fashion industry!

This semester, I wore this outfit multiple times for presentations both in class and in professional settings. Wearing a bright blazer is a fast and easy confidence booster, even if you wake up with the jitters. Given there’s no substitution for thorough preparation but a pop of color, at least from my experiences, makes you feel more alert.
